TOGETHER COLORADO CLERGY ASKING FOR CIVILITY CONVERSATION AROUND GUN LEGISLATION

Denver, CO - Together Colorado clergy are calling for civility around the conversation for gun legislation. They are holding a press conference on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at 10 a.m., at the State Capitol, 3rd floor Press Conference Room.

Faith leaders and clergy will come together and stand in solidarity and call upon the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, National Rifle Association, and other groups to admonish their members to act with civility and love.

"There has been discourse and severe threats made to people and we are asking for civility towards one another," explains Pastor Mark Hill, a Together Colorado leader and pastor of Cleaves Memorial Church C.M.E. "We understand that people have different points of opinion on gun legislation, but we can still be civil and loving towards each other."

The press conference is being sponsored by Together Colorado and Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
