Dear Community Members,

We are pleased to announce the consolidation of ECHO (East County Housing Opportunity Coalition) into Together Colorado! This is an exciting milestone for both of our organizations, and we are eager to continue our collaborative efforts towards achieving affordable housing in our communities. We thank ECHO for the significant work you’ve been able to accomplish for affordable housing for all in Boulder County. 

Our organizations have a proven track record of working together. In recent years, our  partnership has proven successful in ensuring Boulder County commissioners prioritized housing after receiving federal ARPA funds, and we worked together to pass Initiative 1B for affordable and attainable housing in Boulder County for the next 15 years. We will continue showing up together in city councils and the state legislature to fight for affordable housing in our communities. From Annmarie Jensen at ECHO,

“As my time as the Executive Director of ECHO comes to an end, I want to thank all of the people who have helped us advance an affordable housing agenda for East Boulder County.  So many of you have donated, written letters, or attended meetings.  We have begun to make affordable housing an important value in Boulder County.  I am so pleased that ECHO is being consolidated into Together Colorado, with whom we have a longstanding partnership. Together Colorado infrastructure will help make our housing work more effective, and will link us to work around the state and at the capitol. I encourage everyone to continue to participate with Together Colorado. I will no longer be working as a staff person, but will be taking some time off, and will do my best to support the work of Together Colorado as a volunteer."

To our new members from ECHO Colorado, we extend a warm invitation to join our Boulder County organizing committee, which is the group that guides our work in Boulder County.
