Reduced Fees for SB-251 Driver Licenses / Reducen tarifa de licencias de la SB-251

“El DMV decidió reducir las tarifas que se cobran para los documentos que contiene la ley SB13-251. A partir del 1 de julio, el obtener una licencia de este programa tendrá un costo de 33 dólares lo que significa unos 46.58 dólares menos que la tarifa que los usuarios tendrían que pagar hoy en día. Las tarifas para los permisos de circulación y las tarjetas de identificación también van a bajar. Las tarifas de los permisos de circulación se van a ubicar en 21 dólares y las de las tarjetas de identificación serán de 13 dólares….

Sarah Werner, vocera del DMV informó que la oficina que representa se encuentra estudiando las acciones pertinentes para implementar la recién aprobada ley SB18-108. Esta ley permite que personas con Seguro Social puedan solicitar los documentos de la SB13-251. Además, desde que se implemente la SB18-108 las personas podrían renovar sus licencias por internet. En teoría, la ley entraría en vigor no más tarde del 1 de enero de 2019.”

In theory, the law would take effect no later than January 1, 2019.”
