Upcoming Events

Boulder County is at a turning point. Do we become another wealthy enclave with little economic, social and racial diversity? Or, do we embrace a vibrant future that includes economic and cultural diversity with housing for people at all stages of life? In Boulder County, we can make the way for a better and brighter future for all residents, no exceptions.

Join Together Colorado and the East County Housing Opportunity Coalition, the Boulder Area Labor Council and the Boulder Chapter of the NAACP for a four-part training series on affordable housing in Boulder County. This series will take place every second Monday from January 11 – April 12.

What you can expect? –

  • A primer on American housing policies and their roots in segregation, both economic and racial and how those policies influenced growth and development in Boulder County.
  • Why Boulder County is at a turning point, and what must be done to change our growth patterns to be more inclusive.
  • Tools and techniques for citizen activism in the housing arena and beyond.
  • Ways to stay plugged in on affordable housing and to continue to organize and build power around this issue.

Who should attend –

  • Members of the faith community
  • People who care about justice
  • Working people who are worried about affordability
  • Advocates
  • Elected officials
