As a multifaith, multiracial, and anti-racist organization, Together Colorado is deeply disappointed by the recent Supreme Court decision to end race-based affirmative action in higher education. Affirmative action has been a vital tool in addressing historical and systemic inequities. This ruling is part of a pattern of recent decisions that undermine progress in achieving equality and justice, from dismantling protections for marginalized groups to barring student loan relief. There is no place for discrimination, hate, or economic injustice in our beloved community.
